Refund & Returns Policy
Overview
Our policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery:
- 14-Day Right to Cancel: Under UK consumer law, you may return any standard item for a change of mind within 14 days of delivery.
- Returns Window: Beyond 14 days and up to 30 days, returns are accepted at our discretion, provided the item meets the eligibility conditions below.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the exact same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.
Handmade Pottery & Crackle Glaze Characteristics
Please note that all of our ceramics are individually handmade.
- Handmade Variations: Because every piece is made by hand, minor variations in glaze pooling, tone, dimensions, and surface patterns are natural outcomes of the firing process. These deepen and develop character with use and are defining features of artisan pottery, not faults.
- Crackle Glazes: As the clay body and glaze cool at different rates in the kiln, the glaze gently splits to form a network of delicate fine lines (crackle). This is an intentional traditional technique, not damage or a defect. All crackle glazes are highly vitrified in a gas kiln, ensuring they are non-toxic, safe, and durable for their intended use.
Because these features are core design characteristics made transparent prior to purchase, variations in glaze or intentional crackle finishes do not constitute a product defect or damage.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless damaged in transit:
- Custom or Bespoke Orders: Items made to personal order or personalized specifications.
- Gift Cards.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please contact us prior to posting any return.
Exchanges & Damaged Items
We only replace items if they arrive defective or damaged in transit. If your item arrives broken or structurally damaged, please take clear photos of the packaging and item immediately and email us at info@spearingart.co.uk.
Return Shipping
To return your product, please email us first at info@spearingart.co.uk for instructions and return address details.
- You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item (unless the item arrived damaged in transit).
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
